However, a new measure taken by the United States, which bans the use of Chinese and Russian technology in smart vehicles, has sparked a major debate. This decision reflects growing concerns about cybersecurity and citizens’ privacy, as well as efforts to mitigate the risk of espionage. The move could mark a turning point in the development of autonomous and connected cars, but it also raises questions about the economic and technological impacts of this ban. The big question is: are we truly witnessing the end of spying on wheels, or could this action have broader implications than we realize?

The ban on Chinese and Russian technology in smart cars is primarily motivated by concerns about data security. In an increasingly connected world, smart vehicles are major collectors of information, ranging from the driver’s location to behavior on the road.
